Internal Mooting Competitions

Gary Slapper Memorial Moot 2022

This is an internal Open University Law Society competition that is aimed at all abilities of mooters.

The first round of the competition will be a closed bundle moot with the authorities listed at the bottom of the mooting problem.

Casedo software will be provided to you to use when preparing your bundle.

Please note that Round 1 will be judged solely on your skeletons and your ability to create a bundle, these will then be used for Round 2.

Competition Schedule 2022

22nd October - Deadline for registration - midnight. (REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED)

23rd October - 1st Round Mooting Problem released

1st November - 1st Round Submission deadline

10th & 11th November - 2nd Round Individual Oral Submissions via Zoom (after 6pm)

21st November - Quarter-Finals Team Submission deadline

23rd & 24th November - Quarter-Finals Team Oral Submissions via Zoom (after 6pm)

5th December - Semi-Final Team Submission deadline

9th December - Semi-Final and Final at OU HQ in Milton Keynes (Times TBC)

All OULS members are welcome to attend the Semi-Final and Final.
