About the event

The OULS are pleased to welcome a previous chair of the OULS as a guest speaker: Laurie-Elizabeth Ketley, a practicing family law barrister with 3PB.

Laurie-Elizabeth is a Baroness Hale of Richmond Scholar awarded by Gray's inn and OU alumni achieving a distinction in all of her modules, additionally winning the OULS Gary Slapper Memorial Mooting Competition.

Laurie-Elizabeth will discuss her journey to the bar, including gaining a prestigious scholarship for the Bar Training Course (the vocational component of training to become a barrister.) There will be time for a mini Q&A for you to ask questions about becoming a barrister, including securing pupillage and tenancy. This event is ideal for those considering becoming a barrister and for anyone who would like to gain an insight into a career at the bar.
