About the event
The Internal Novice Mooting Competition returns for 2026. This 1 day competition will see beginners and intermediates compete to be crowned the winner of the competition.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the competition you cannot have reached the semi-finals (final 8) of any previous Gary Slapper Memorial Mooting Competition.
The competition is open to ALL OTHER MEMBERS. Please email chair@ouls.org to confirm eligibility if you are unsure.
Beginners, or those who have not mooted recently, are highly recommended to attend the Mooting Workshop on Sunday, 19th April 2026 to understand the format of the competition and learn how to moot.
Anyone considering participating is strongly encouraged to compete because this competition caters for beginners and opportunities are limited with this event taking place once a year.
