Guest Speaker: Harriet Wood, Infrastructure & Specialist Markets

Join the OULS for the second insight event in the Shalespeare Martineau series. Harriet Wood will discuss her work as a legal professional, giving you the opportunity to gain insight into working at a solicitors firm. There will be a Q&A segment towards the end of the session.

Harriet Wood embarked on her legal journey after being made redundant, undertaking her LLB at Birmingham city university and then securing a paralegal role with Shakespeare Martineau where she qualified via the CILEX route with funding from her employer. 

​Harriet undertook a 2 month internship in America investigating cases of death row inmates, attempting to reduce their death penalty sentence to life. 

​Harriet is experienced in advising various property related transactional matters​ working closely with her clients including recently advising on the sale of a Baptist church.

This session will provide valuable insight to anyone interested in pursuing a legal career.
