About the event
Chloe Lydell, an OU alumna and civil litigation lawyer with Staffordshire & West Midlands Police, joins the OULS as a guest speaker.
Chloe graduated from the Open University with a First-Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in 2023, before beginning her role as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice in September 2023. Alongside practice, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and the SQE at BPP passing both SQE1 and SQE2 in the top quintile on her first attempt. She qualified as a solicitor and was admitted to the Roll in March 2026.
The session will focus on Chloe's route to qualification and her experience followed by a Q&A giving you the chance to ask Chloe questions about the SQE; a solicitor apprenticeship and a day in the life of a practising solicitor.
