About the event

Chloe Lydell, an OU alumna and civil litigation lawyer with Staffordshire & West Midlands Police, joins the OULS as a guest speaker.


​Chloe graduated from the Open University with a First-Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in 2023, before beginnin​g her role as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice in September 2023. Alongside practice, ​she completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and the SQE at BPP​ passing both SQE1 and SQE2 in the top quintile on ​her first attempt. ​She qualified as a solicitor and was admitted to the Roll ​in March 2026. 


T​he session will focus on Chloe's route to qualification and her experience followed by a Q&A giving you the chance to ask Chloe questions about the SQE; a solicitor apprenticeship and a day in the life of a practising solicitor.
