Treasurer - Election Manifestos

Treasurer

1. Mark Lindley-Highfield of Ballumbie Castle (Current Treasurer)

I have served the Society as Treasurer over the past year, as we have gone through a

period of reviving the Society from dormancy. We inherited the Society with outstanding

accounts and on the cusp of being deregistered as a student society owing to the

lack of filing of due accounting records.

In my period of being Treasurer, we have moved from this position of lacking reporting

of our financial circumstances to having completed two years' worth of accounts.

Please vote for me to see that the Society continues to be in a position of maintaining its

registration as a student society through the regular production of accounts, and so that

I can work with the Chair to see that our accounting facilities are appropriate and

functional for the Society in its present shape and form.

I have recently earned from the OU a first-class degree in Law with a distinction

in each module, and am a student member of Gray's Inn. I hope within the next year to

attend my ceremony for graduates.

I am very keen to support new members to join our committee, so that they are ready to

take over the running of the Society in a year's time with a clear handover of the Society

in a good operational condition.

I welcome hearing your suggestions for the Society as we move forward into a new

academic year and would appreciate your support in this election.
