Hello, I’m Patricia, I am seeking your vote today for reelection as Chair of the OULS. My organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills evidenced by my success in restoring our dormant society ensure I am the best person to continue our recent growth.

 

I achieved my aims of helping members develop their public speaking & advocacy skills by hosting 7 multi-stage mooting workshops & competitions and; I accomplished my goals of of establishing networking opportunities for you to connect with each other and the legal community through 25 insight events, 5 of which were in-person. These events were attended by more than 200 of you. 

 

I pledge to: 

1.    Grow our community and reduce the feeling of isolation by launching a new-user friendly website improving accessibility of OULS news & events and improving interaction by enabling you to publish journal articles & purchase OULS branded merchandise at cost 

 

2.    Host more events and improve accessibility by securing more sponsorships, increasing the society’s funds to help you connect with each other, socially & professionally 

 

3.    Give you more for your membership by increasing everything the society offers through introducing new committee roles and assisting with hosting more events, guest speakers and a new & improved advocacy programme for everyone 

 

4.    Prevent the society from becoming dormant again by streamlining its structure and resolving all issues predating my term so the OULS will continue to exist for many years 

 

My mission is for the OULS to become a leading student law society, one we can all be proud to belong to and benefit from. My inbox will remain open to receive feedback from you all, as to achieve greatness we must work together. To reach this goal, I need you to vote for me, NOW
